NC 211 – Help Starts Here
NC 211 is a health and human services information and referral service administered by United Way of North Carolina and supported by local United Ways across the state. North Carolinians in all 100 counties can access NC 211 by dialing 2-1-1 (or 1-888-892-1162) or by visiting nc211.org. This service is free, confidential, multilingual, and available 24/7/365. NC 211 can help connect people to programs and services for housing, utilities, childcare, healthcare, senior services, transportation, and much more. Rowan County United Way is proud to support this critical service in Rowan County.
NC 211 cannot provide direct medical services, and COVID-19 can only be diagnosed by a health care professional. If you suspect you or someone you care for may have symptoms or have been exposed to the virus, you should contact your health care provider. If you do not have a provider, you can call Rowan County Health Department. The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services has set up a COVID-19 hotline that is staffed by trained medical professionals.
