Annual Fundraising Campaign
Every fall season, Rowan County United Way depends greatly on volunteers to conduct their campaign. A Campaign Chair is selected each year to lead the campaign while other United Way champions serve on the Campaign Cabinet to oversee campaigns across different sectors of the community. Funds raised during the campaign help support 21 local programs, which address mental health, substance use, healthy lifestyle behaviors, and basic needs.
In 2023 alone, 77,304 individuals were served by United Way, representing over 50% of Rowan County’s population.

Campaign Chair: Kaisha Brown
Rowan County United Way is proud to announce that Kaisha Brown, from the City of Salisbury, has been appointed as the Campaign Chair for United Way’s 2024-2025 fundraising campaign. In her new role, Brown will spearhead the annual effort to raise funds for various local health and human service programs.
Kaisha Brown currently serves as the Communications Coordinator for the City of Salisbury, where she has made significant contributions to the Communication Department’s award-winning video, print, and social media projects.
A long-time supporter of United Way, Brown has been involved with the annual campaign as a volunteer in the Campaign Cabinet and as a Board Member. In 2022, she was awarded the Campaign Champion Award, along with Rodney Harrison, for their efforts in co-chairing the Public Employees division.
I support Rowan County United Way because of the meaningful impact it has on our community. United Way works collaboratively with other community organizations to empower and improve the lives of community members who need it most. Rowan County United Way’s mission aligns with my values, and I am proud to be part of the team that is creating sustainable, positive change in Rowan County.
