Rowan County United Way Announces 2019-2020 Campaign Cabinet
Cabinet members include Eric Slipp, of Nouryon, public relations chairman; Andrew Smith, of Rowan-Salisbury Schools, vice chairman for education; Jim Behmer, of Salisbury-Rowan Utilities, presidents; John Struzick, of Innospec, chairmans; Greg Anderson, publisher of the Salisbury Post, industrial No. 1; Bob Cartner, of Chandler Concrete, industrial No. 2; Jimmy Greene, of Fisher-Greene Insurance, commercial No. 1; Rhonda Martin, of F&M Bank, commercial No. 2; Mark Lewis, of Peoples Bank, commercial No. 3; Chris Soliz, of Rowan County government, public employees; Terry Smith, of the Salisbury Fire Department, community business; David Treme, Spencer town manager, special gifts; and David Post, David Post Law, professionals.
Treme, Slipp and Parnell will also focus on Swat/CEO cultivation. Post, Treme and Parnell will focus on leadership giving. “I love United Way and see the good that it does for our community,” Treme said. “With the new method, we can meet the demands of Rowan County citizens.” Cartner, manager at Chandler Concrete, said it is an honor to serve as a cabinet member.
Parnell said he is looking forward to working with the campaign cabinet and volunteers. “Our team members are vitally important planks in our community who are dedicated to United Way,” Parnell said. “As we face new challenges this year, we can also expect great opportunities.”
Associate Director Jackie Harris said she is pleased with the level of expertise the campaign cabinet will bring to United Way. “Bob will do a great job leading our efforts and his team is very committed to being successful,” Harris said. “We are truly blessed and grateful for each of them.”
The campaign cabinet will meet Aug. 7.
